After stumbling upon the source code for a 3D scanner turntable online, I made the decision to design my own setup. All credit goes to Whitney Potter for creating the original code. Please note that these settings may vary depending on the gear ratio you choose to use. Here is a list of the electronics required for this scanner: Any camera will work as long as you can manually adjust the ISO and exposure settings. A stepper motor with a driver, such as the 28BYJ model available on eBay, is necessary. Since it's a weak motor, you'll need to use bearings to minimize friction and ensure a smooth turntable operation.
