3D Scanned Game board Pieces
thingiverse
Hello There! These models were designed by me for a Design Tech project at school. I created them using a combination of 3D Scanning with an Xbox Kinect and 3D Modelling in Maya. My project aims to empower users with the ability to create custom models and characters through 3D printing, enhancing board games with limitless customization options and resolving the age-old argument of who wants to be what piece in the game. With my design, everyone can craft their own unique pieces or, better yet, themselves, rendering those tedious debates obsolete. I've developed three models for this project, each showcasing a different aspect of customization. The first model is a straightforward 3D scanned human figure on a base, serving as a proof of concept. The next two models illustrate the possibilities of adding various features to your creations (such as armour) or incorporating accessories that can be held by the character (like a sword or magic staff). I greatly appreciate any likes, downloads, and comments you'd like to share - all of which will be proudly featured in my final folio. Instructions For optimal results, I suggest printing the Armoured and Staff Model with supports engaged.
