3D Scan of Sitting Fox Decor

The local superstore added various fox decor items, including this particular one, to their home goods assortment. With minimal overhangs, it was perfect for scanning and creating a 3D print using 123D Catch. A total of 70 images were taken around the object, which was then refined in several editors before printing. The final model measures approximately 220mm in height, while scaling down to 40% gives an 88mm tall version. Be cautious when using traditional slicer-generated support for the lower muzzle to avoid artifacts on the tail. Some EDM printers may handle the near 90deg overhang, but if unsure, use Autodesk 3D Print Utility (A3DP) and share it on Thingiverse as a remix. The model is scaled to match the original item's 220mm height, while a 40% reduction provides an 88mm tall version.
