In December 2013, a 3D scanned and printed Nischelwitzer model was tested with various versions. These included silver at 0.34mm thickness, infilled with 25% in four hours, copper at the same thickness but reworked with acetone in three hours with a 10% infill rate, and gold at 0.2mm thickness, infilled with 8% in eight hours.
