I recently acquired a Pixhawk flight controller with integrated GPS module capabilities, which does not include an antenna mounting system. I decided to design and fabricate a custom replacement component using a readily available platform. The end goal is to create a durable and adaptable GPS antenna mount that fits various frame designs without sacrificing GPS accuracy or positional integrity. The GPS Module Mount Tray provides a secure yet easily removable solution for the Pixhawk's built-in GPS receiver. A series of rubber-coated cleats along its periphery facilitate precise positioning within a variety of mounting configurations, offering added reassurance against loss or damage due to flight disturbances. The two primary attachment points – top and bottom sockets respectively connected to either the multicopter frame or directly onto this mounting system – ensure rock solid integration through M3 bolt screw engagements via holes positioned along pre-existing skews (relying on simple threaded inserts as a makeshift support).
