I experimented with various Slic3r fill patterns while switching small pieces of filament. Transparent colors allowed me to see layers below and mix colors for a stunning effect. I also tried Hilbert curve solid surfaces, raising the Z height on the first layer then lowering it on subsequent layers for an accentuated look. Another technique involved making the entire layer clear with raised Z height for a 3D touch effect. To add logos to the case, I increased its thickness and used boolean cuts with extruded DXFs downloaded from non-commercial sources, achieving intricate color changes.
