<h3>3D Printing Quick Start Tutorial<img></h3><p>When you first get a 3d printer of your own or start using one at a makerspace, it's easy to find many incredible 3d models to print. However, at some point, I contend that everyone needs to learn to design original models. That is where this tutorial comes in. We have been using this project for more than 8-years and have taught dozens of makers, ages 6 to 60, how to get started creating their own original designs.</p><h4>From Toy to Tool</h4><p>When you design your models for 3d printing, you transform your 3d printer from an amazing advanced toy capable of printing other's designs to an incredibly advanced tool capable of producing tools to solve your unique problems.</p><h4>Where to start</h4><p>My favorite program for learning 3d design is TinkerCAD. It's a simple, intuitive program primarily designed for children that can be easily learned and are a fantastic starting point for makers of all ages.</p><p>I have created a simple video tutorial that walks through the steps to creating a basic monogram keyfob/keychain.
