3D Printing Nerd Challenge - Spool Wall Hanger
myminifactory
This is a game-changing solution for 3D printing enthusiasts' walls everywhere, and it's surprisingly simple. Here's the lowdown: 1) No more fumbling with spools - just leave them right where they are. 2) Forget about bearings and springs - this project relies solely on 3D printing magic! 3) The adjustable teeth on these ratchets will snap into place as soon as you add them, thanks to the weight of the spool itself. To build one filament guide, you'll need: 1 Filament Base Ratchet 1 Filament Top Ratchet 6 Rollers 2 Shelf Piece Anchors Just stack those ratchets on top of each other - they're designed to fit together seamlessly. You'll notice the teeth are adjustable to accommodate different spool widths. Once you've got four rollers in place, look for the "Shelf Piece Anchor" and attach it anywhere you like on your wood piece. This will make it easy to roll the filament horizontally. And for the finishing touch, use another anchor to guide it down to your printer - everything should move smoothly. Want to see this in action?
