I decided to tackle the issue of 3D printers emitting VOCs by designing an activated carbon filter that's easy to build and install. To start, I gathered a few basic components: an 80mm case fan, a 5V USB cable, and two screws for mounting. The design allows users to either attach it securely or simply stand it upright – whichever suits their needs best. A slot is also included for swapping out the carbon filter whenever it gets saturated with VOCs.
