3D Printer Tool Holders - Modular
thingiverse
I have a compact workbench with several printers on it and limited space for tools needed during 3D printing operations. To keep my tools easily accessible and out of the way, I designed these modular holders. They all utilize the same latch mechanism and individual tool holders can be printed as required, then inserted into the built-in dovetail slot. This system uses a 1/8-inch thick aluminum bar that is 1 inch wide (length is customizable). This component can be purchased at most hardware stores. You will need to print stand-offs for the aluminum (the files are attached). The latch assemblies require two 40mm long, 3mm diameter bolts and two 50mm long, 3mm diameter bolts. They are threaded directly into the print, eliminating the need for nuts. Additionally, you will need to print two Linkages for each latch assembly. Besides the individual components of the latch, I have included an STL file of the entire latch assembly for your convenience.
With this file you will be able to print 3D Printer Tool Holders - Modular with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on 3D Printer Tool Holders - Modular.
