3D Printer Tolerance Test

thingiverse

Tolerance testing is designed for high resolution 3D printers, built with features surpassing machine resolution (approximately 1500dpi) to show how your printer/material fails. Printing requirements include a device that utilizes some form of support material. The test includes thin walls and wells as thick as 0.00063425 inches, diverse curvatures including gradually sloping surfaces to examine z axis precision, a sharp peak, an enclosed area, and numerous movable hinges with various tolerance levels. Test options involve printing the complete assembly in one file or as individual files (7 files) corresponding to each solid component of the assembly. Additionally, SolidWorks part and assembly files are provided for further testing.
