3D Printer Supply Cabinet
thingiverse
All of my filaments were stored in the cardboard boxes that MatterHackers shipped them in, with more spools piled around and on top of those boxes. My supplies and tools were stuffed into my desk drawers and a small toolbox. It was a chaotic mess in my office, making it a challenge to get at the filaments when I needed to change them. It was time to take action and do something about it. This project is not really a 3D printable object, although I have included a prototype STL file that I used to evaluate the design, along with a prototype drawer pull file that confirmed my choice of hardware. The cabinet shown is made from cherry and cherry plywood, featuring full extension slide drawers, custom-designed filament drawers, and Craftsman-style pulls from Horton Brass. The bottom drawer will hold larger supplies such as acetone, a couple of boxes of misprints, and other miscellaneous items. It will also store my printing plates after I make some dividers. The two small top drawers are designated for tools and small supplies like filament clips, Wolfbite, nozzles, and other essentials. I need to print some organizers to keep them tidy as well.
