Taking the project from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:756841, I significantly upgraded numerous components: New Features: - Reprap Discount Controller with Integrated LCD and SD Support, featuring a protective case - Cable Chain for Enhanced 3-Axis Stability - Adjustable Endstops for Precise Axis Control - Protective Case for Arduino and Ramps Integration Recently, I designed a Direct Replacement Extruder that can be found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2261504 Print Settings: Printer: Prusa i3 Rafts: No Support Structures Used Supports: None Required Resolution: 0.3mm Layer Height Infill Density: 25% Notes: - Chain and nut components are printed at 0.2mm resolution, while all other parts use a 0.3mm setting Design Process: Testing on Three Prusa/Cube Printers Utilized Aluminium Profile (2020) measuring 16 x 500mm Installed Linear Rods (8mm) in lengths of 500mm, totaling six pieces Equipped with Linear Bearings (8mm), ten units were used Motor Nema17: Five Units Installed Coupling Motors with a 5mm/5mm configuration, two units were utilized Thread Rod M5 (2 x 500mm) Mechanical Endstops integrated into PCBs, three units in total Reprap Discount Smart LCD Controller Arduino 2560 paired with Ramps 1.4 and four Pololu drivers Power Supply: 12V at 30A
