I wanted a way to automatically shut down my 3D printers once they finished printing, so I could save energy and reduce wear on the machines. To accomplish this, I built an inline box that can be connected to up to two printers at a time. The external control box was created using a design found online: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:667503 This handy box allows users to set a timer for shutting down their printers after they've finished printing.
