3D Printer Noise Movement Test
thingiverse
This basic gcode script (my first attempt) brings the printer back home, then moves the nozzle to approximately the middle of the bed (specifically designed for a Creality Ender 3), at precise X,Y,Z coordinates: 110,110,10. Next, it rapidly raises and lowers the nozzle three times on the Z-axis, followed by three sets of smooth clockwise circular movements with a radius of 30mm, executed at escalating feedrates of 1000, 2000, and 4000 before returning to its starting point. No material is extruded during this process, which means the nozzle and bed remain cool and unheated throughout. The script's primary purpose is to facilitate reproducible results for comparing printer noise between two identical printers or between a single printer at different times (for instance, after maintenance or an upgrade). A real-world example of this can be seen in a video available on YouTube: https://youtu.be/OaNuk-Oh7Bk.
