3D Printer Miniature Christmas Ornament - Finder-like
cults3d
Imagine a 3D printer right on your Christmas tree! That's definitely one way to spread the excitement of 3D printing. The model is created to scale, designed to closely resemble the build of the FlashForge Finder, which just happens to be my go-to printer of all time. To make it even more festive, you can paint it with bright colours and skip adding any supports or glue. Here's a quick rundown of the print settings: Print 8 pins and the rest of the files together. No support material is required, thanks to the optimised print orientation that's already been set up for both printing and strength - unless your z-axis isn't facing upwards. For added stability, it's recommended to keep the infill percentage below 30%; otherwise, it might be too heavy for hanging from the Christmas tree. If you're planning to use this as a Christmas tree decoration, print the top cover with a loop cut. However, if you want to display it on your desk, print the top cover without the loop cut. Updates: (22/12/2018) The visualisation of the top frame has been improved and the pins are now more flexible than ever.
