The printing process of many 3D printers is often shrouded in mystery, particularly when using darker filaments due to inadequate lighting conditions. This compact unit, equipped with a 10mm 100mA LED, effectively resolves this issue. To power the LED, a 12-volt source requires a 1-watt resistor rated at 86 ohms in series with the light. Since ¼ watt resistors are more readily available, they can be substituted by combining four 390-ohm resistors in parallel. To accommodate the resistors, push the LED through the opening and secure it in place using a piece of double-sided adhesive foam wherever desired.
