This is the E3 BLESSED CNC REDA v5.5, 3D Printer, Laser Cutting and CNC. Designed, developed and built by Marco Reda. A project started more than 2 years ago that is now in version 5.5. It is a Cartesian multi-tool vector processing machine, composed of a central processing unit that implements a set of instructions that operate on one-dimensional arrays of data called vectors. There are 3 main work tools and a work area level gauging tool. Each tool is coded and identified by the machine, which alone defines which functions will be available for the work of that specific tool. Each axis is driven by a two-phase stepper motor with forced ventilation, offering precise positioning by rotating with exact angles, whose speed, direction and driving force are the result of a PWM control that involves the modulation of its cyclic ratio delivered to the axis. . With the laser cutting tool, the material when hit by the laser beam heats up to the point of melting or vaporizing completely. After the laser beam passes completely through the material at a certain point, the actual cutting process begins. The system follows the selected geometric vector algorithm, separating the material. With the 3D printing tool, it is possible to quickly and accurately create a physical object from a three-dimensional digital model, which has been sliced into several print layers producing a complete shape. As it does not have a fairing around its working area, a P L A plastic filament was designed for extrusion, which is a thermoplastic polymer made with lactic acid from vegetable raw materials that requires lower temperatures, reducing energy consumption. The heated glass table, used for fixing the extruded filament, the extruder itself and the secondary energy source have an electronic interlock that disarms in case of failure so that there is no risk of damage to the machine. With the cutting tool composed of an electric router with a vertical rotating axis, in which different varieties of milling cutters can be coupled, when coupled to the machine, it is capable of performing various functions, such as milling, grinding, drilling and boring with high speed and precision. . All main tools follow a specific geometric vector algorithm (g-code) for each part or object to be worked. At the end of this code there is a command that audibly notifies the completion of the work, will turn off all functions in operation and disable the stepper motors.
