3D Printer - Heated Bed Tabs to hold down glass
thingiverse
This tab model is designed for 3mm thick glass mounting on a 3D printer, requiring four tabs per corner. The holes are sized for M3 bolts with a 3mm diameter. Due to the added height from the glass and PCB, it will create a press fit with the glass to prevent movement when tightened. If desired, higher friction material can be placed between the void space and glass for additional grip. To assemble, place the glass on the wood and draw an outline of its position. Place one tab in line with the glass corner, ensuring the void space under the tab is slightly behind the glass corner. Drill through the tab holes in the wood to align them, using a clamp if needed. Repeat for all four corners and secure with M3 bolts while placing the glass in its final position. Please provide feedback on the tab spacing and glass stability after use.
