3D Printer Heated Bed Power Module Housing
thingiverse
I designed this housing specifically to accommodate an add-on for my Prusa I3s heated bed, allowing me to house a Power Module with ease. This setup takes the load off of your control board, freeing up valuable resources. To keep things cool, I added a 40mm fan that's easily accessible and can be mounted on either the inside or outside - it's not strictly necessary, but having a spare 12v connection made it an easy addition. The housing is designed with M3 screws in mind, which thread neatly into place for secure installation. During assembly, you'll appreciate the ability to access all screws from the outside using your trusty allen wrench. Mounting the housing is straightforward: simply use any or all of the four holes on the bottom, and make sure the pcb sits high enough to accommodate a cap screw and washer - or just a cap screw if you prefer. To secure the pcb itself, fit it at an angle into the box before gently lowering it onto the four pedestals. Four M3 cap screws will keep everything firmly in place.
