I was determined to come up with a slick solution for setting up the filament spool outside the printer. I quickly designed this clever bearing setup. The filament glides off the rolls as smoothly as a classic love song from the 80s. To build this project, you'll need just a few simple components: Two 7mm thick skateboard bearings with an 8mm hole in the center Two M8x30 bolts Four washers Two M8 nuts, I chose to use the old-style round-headed ones so the thread isn't visible Don't forget that you'll need to build two of these setups for each roll. Happy building! Print Settings: Printer: Flashforge Dreamer Rafts: Yes Supports: It doesn't matter Resolution: 0.2mm layer height (for speed) Infill: 30% is enough.
