Tested and working - open source, quick, simple, standard (2" PVC connector available at any hardware store). Used when your filament comes on a subpar cardboard spool. Print two sides and use PVC adhesive to secure them onto a standard 2" PVC pipe connector with ease. This versatile device boasts an impressive diameter of 180mm and accommodates a full 1kg of filament, allowing it to roll effortlessly along a sturdy 3/4" PVC pipe. A generously sized 8x8 bed is required for this efficient re-spooling system. To scale down may compromise its compatibility with the 2" PVC connector, rendering it ineffective. Nevertheless, many users swear by their trusty battery-powered drill and precisely positioned bolt embedded within a sturdy 3/4" PVC pipe, skillfully held in place with tape, to expertly repurpose from an inferior cardboard spool. Thanks to this innovative re-spooling solution, tedious jams resulting from flimsy cardboard sides spreading and filament slipping into the crack have become a thing of the past.
