3D Printer Fan Hub Controller for CTC / Flashforge / Replicator
pinshape
I built a custom fan controller for up to five standard 12V PC fans that should work well with various printers, but I specifically designed it for my Replicator Clone. The Aerocool F5XT fan controller was the perfect choice: http://www.aerocool.com.tw/en/fan-controller/single-bay/f5xt Its circuit board is very easy to remove and loosen, while the buttons and sliders are simply clipped in place. To get started, I printed the Mount Pattern and drilled out the mounting holes and slots for the sliders using a 3mm drill bit. Next, I printed the spacers, buttons, and covers, which fit together perfectly with just two M3 screws (or any other size screw you prefer). Note that the cover doesn't have any pre-drilled holes, so I glued it in place or drilled them by hand since my Mount Pattern was slightly misaligned. This allowed me to make adjustments on the fly. UPDATE 03/12/2016 I've added a new Slider Button V2 with tighter tolerances and also uploaded the .stp file for the slider button so you can customize the design if needed. Printer Settings: * Printer: CTC 3D * Rafts: Not necessary * Supports: Not required * Resolution: 0.2mm * Infill: 15%
