3D PRINTER ENCLOSURE 120MM FAN VENT
thingiverse
I'm designing an enclosure for my Lulzbot Taz 5 using MrMcGuire's helpful Taz enclosure files. To improve airflow, I've ordered two 120mm PC fans that will bring down the temperature in no time. With these fans, I was able to design a big vent system with easy-open and close mechanisms. After some careful trimming with an X-Acto knife, you'll get great-looking fan vents. Two distinct styles are included - one allows for quick snapping and joining, while the other requires a secure M4x12mm hex round head bolt connection. Here's a brief overview of the print settings used: Raft settings: Yes Supports: No Infill: 100% Additional notes to keep in mind when printing these fan vents: - Use 100% infill and a 2mm raft to prevent warping or lifting. - Print separately to ensure that parts are well-attached. - Trim the ends of the fan blades for smooth rotation. - Remove the center part of the fan blade for effortless assembly of parts. Recommended materials include M4x16mm round head hex bolts, 1/4 plexiglass sheets and M4 plastic washers
