3D Printer Design - stepUP
grabcad
This all-metal 3D printer features a gantry-style Cartesian design, boasting an aluminum extrusion frame made with 20mm Misumi extrusions. It employs 12mm hardened, chrome-plated shafts equipped with linear bearings pressed into aluminum pillow blocks for smooth linear movement. The electronics are housed in enclosures self-produced by the printer. Note that the CAD file may not be completely accurate and should be used as a design reference rather than a perfect representation. Standard metric hardware (M3-M5 sizes) is utilized, along with some imperial bolts (1/4-20) for mounting self-aligning bearings to the frame. A Bill of Materials isn't included, but inquiries are welcome. Included files comprise renderings, pictures, 2017 Inventor files, a project file, a STEP file of the entire assembly, and the printer's firmware. Some CAD models were created by other authors, with credits given to their respective owners. The firmware is a modified version of Repetier v0.92, credited to its creators.
