3D Printer Christmas Tree Ornament
thingiverse
Hi there! This Christmas Ornament is here just in time for the holidays! I had a lot of trouble finding a 3D printed model of a 3D printer - it's surprisingly difficult to search for that on Google. So, I gave up and made my own. This model is based off of the Lulzbot Taz 5, which printed it out. If enough people support this design, I'll try to make a Customizer model so you can put your name on it. Note: I don't think this model can print without a dual head, unless you use a very good slicer for support materials. I used PLA as my base with HIPS support and dissolved the HIPS in D-Limonene. I'm excited to see what everyone comes up with for designs! Print Settings Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer: TAZ 5 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 200 Micron Infill: 25% Notes: Dual extrusion was required, using Cura as the slicing software. PLA or ABS as the main material, with HIPS or PVA as support will work best. Simplify 3D might make it possible to use a single extruder, but I haven't tried yet. Post-Printing Optional Materials for Post Printing Cleanup: Sandpaper D-Limonene (for HIPS support) Water (for PVA support) Acetone for Vapor Polishing
