Aluminum Build Plate was engineered to serve as a heated build surface for standard 3d printers, featuring a 220 x 220 mm XY build area. It is fully compatible with MK1, MK2, MK2A and MK2B heat bed PCBs. Made from 3mm thick T6061-T6 aluminum alloy, this plate boasts sufficient thickness to prevent twists and maintain flatness across its entire building area, ensuring a strong bond between the first layer of print and the surface. To prevent hot end damage, countersunk mounting screws are used, eliminating any risk of the screw interfering with the build process. A convenient milled channel on the bottom of the plate facilitates easy thermistor installation, allowing for clean assembly and hidden wiring that is safely tucked away between the plate and heated bed PCB. This versatile plate can be machined from 3mm or 1/8" thickness aluminum plate using CNC mill or router. DIY makers can access all necessary design files - DXF, IGES and STL - to create their own custom plates.
