3D Printed Tensile Test Results and Data

thingiverse

This is a comprehensive summary of tensile testing conducted with PLA using my own designed tensile specimen. The variables tested included: 1. Infill Percentage 2. Layer Thickness 3. Part Orientation For infill percentage, values of 10%, 40%, 70%, and 100% were used. Layer thickness was tested at 100 micron, 200 micron, and 300 micron (0.1, 0.2, and 0.3 mm respectively). Part orientations utilized were vertical and horizontal. Three specimens for each configuration were printed, with averages calculated to achieve consistency in results. Spreadsheets and charts of the results are included within this Thing, providing useful data for further analysis. If questions arise regarding this project, please feel free to contact me through Thingiverse; however, responses may be delayed due to personal commitments. Update A: Corrections were made to several graphs that lacked labels and incorrect units.
