3D printed telescope
cults3d
The telescope was designed for a 250 mm mirror. The eyepiece holder and the spider were recovered from my old Dobson Orion N 254/1200 SkyQuest XT10i IntelliScope. Note that these can also be modeled to be printed. The parts can of course be modified on the Blender modeling software I used, so that it is compatible with other models. 16 x 16 mm aluminum bars and a 12 x 10 mm bar were used. 8mm carbon rods purchased from Decathlon were also used. The file folder is composed of 2 subfolders: a subfolder including files in Blender File format, to see the modeling of all the parts that can be modified. Then a sub-folder with all the parts in STL format that can be opened on Blender to be eventually modified and also opened on a printing software for 3D printers, in this case for me: Cura-by-Dagoma. Software used: Blender: https://www.blender.org/download/ Cura-by-Dagoma-Easy200: https://dagoma.fr/logiciels.html Printer used: DiscoEasy200: https://dagoma.fr/imprimantes-3d.html For more understanding: download Blender software which is free to see the barrel in 3D. (this is the software I used to model the whole telescope which will allow to record for your 3D machine). Aluminum bar rear corner connector: 16 x 16 x 260 mm. Aluminum bar front corner connection: 16 x 16 x 260 mm. Reinforcing aluminum bar (the diagonal one): 10 x 12 x 130 mm. Aluminum bar right side barrel: 16 x 16 x 110 mm. Aluminum bar left side barrel: 16 x 16 x 110 mm. Diagonal aluminum bar of each corner of the barrel: 16 x 16 x 90 mm. To be made in 4 copies Aluminum bar before barrel: 16 x 16 x 110 mm. Primary mirror support part Aluminum bar supporting the triangles joint: 16 x 16 x 260 mm Aluminum bar for the articulation of the triangles right: 16 x 16 x 150 mm Aluminum bar for the articulation of the left triangles: 16 x 16 x 150 mm Aluminum bar support triangles: 10 x 12 x 90mm. To be made in 3 copies
