In the provided video (https://vid.me/sFYCGI), a basic tape dispenser was demonstrated which couldn't cut the tape efficiently, causing frustration. To overcome this issue, the creator designed an improved version with better "quality feel". For this, they used a metal plate as an electric contact and shaped teeth using a Dremel. Additionally, cast iron weight from a battery-powered vacuum was incorporated. The 3D printed parts were designed to be minimalistic for assembly. However, while the "quality feel" aspect is partially successful, the overall structure requires careful handling and isn't significantly better at cutting tape compared to the previous dispenser; however, it does look aesthetically pleasing and functions well when using two hands to cut the tape.
