3D Printed Quadcopter
thingiverse
This quadcopter is based on MikeyB's original designs but with some modifications. The kk2 controller mount was rotated 45 degrees to align forward with an X configuration quadcopter. It also features a top mount for an FPV camera while removing the GoPro mount at the bottom. Other minor modifications include new strap holes for batteries and grooves to keep components from sliding. The quadcopter was printed on an UltiMax DIY 3D printer, which used their filament that printed very well (ultibots.com/ultimax-3d-printer-diy-kit). The author has documented the build process on their blog (wtn-projects.blogspot.com) and shared a video of it (youtube.com/watch?v=7iTwop74Q4Y). The quadcopter's components include a DX6i 6-Channel Full Range w/o Servos, Afro ESC 30Amp Multi-rotor Motor Speed Controllers, Hobby King Quadcopter Power Distribution Board, Hobbyking KK2.0 Multi-rotor LCD Flight Control Board, Turnigy D2836/9 950KV Brushless Outrunner Motors, Turnigy nano-tech 5000mAh 3S 25~50C Lipo Pack, Turnigy Accucel-6 50W 6A Balancer/Charger with accessories, Hobbyking 60w Power Supply, and a Turnigy TGY-50090M Metal Gear 9g Analog Servo.
