3D Printed Prosthetics
thingiverse
A 15-year old stuffed pig, missing its right arm from a brutal attack, received medical care similar to amputee humans through 3D printing technology. Doctors measured the pig's remaining limb and designed a prosthetic replica using a Prusa Reprap 3D printer, providing the toy with a functional and near-identical limb to its original one. Photos depicting the process and results showcase the pig's successful integration back into its previous lifestyle. View the full set of photos on Flickr.
