Finally got around to upgrading the size of this powered exoskeleton hand, making it significantly lighter and more mobile. There are still some design challenges with this exoskeleton hand in that fingers don't move from completely closed to fully open position; instead, they just move around. I don't want people getting the wrong impression that this can fully restore the movement of someone's hand because it cannot as it is currently designed. I hope others will take this design further since my modeling skills aren't what they used to be. Good luck to everyone working on this project; also, the motors I'm using are not strong enough to break my fingers and I believe it would be extremely difficult to find motors that small which could potentially break anyone's fingers. DC motor specifications indicate a speed of over 30RPM or 60RPM for Mini N20 DC Metal Gear Motor. Example: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/6-12V-300-600-30RPM-Mini-DC-Metal-Gear-Motor-Gearwheel-Shaft-Diameter-N20-TOP/191977349889?hash=item2cb2bde301:m:mQwibMb0uJEItZMhfW2D6AQ Not sure if a 12v DC motor would work with an Arduino, which is why I opted for a 6v motor. You should be able to purchase these motors from eBay or Amazon. The basic Arduino code is also attached; this will open and close all of the motors.
