3d Printed Pencil Holder

Project Statement: I chose to design a 3d printed pencil holder that can fit the average pencil length of 7 inches long. I thought a pencil holder would be a good idea for online learning because when people are at home they can become more reckless with where they set things because they're not out in public where it could get stolen. This way even if they lose one or two they have a case at their workstation to store more. An issue that came up during modeling was how much space should I have between the 2 halves so it fits fairly tight but is still decently loose. If I could redesign it I would put a place for a door hinge type system so the case can be locked if put inside a bag so nothing spills out. 3d printing can strengthen this design as it can make it light enough to not dent a desk and durable enough to possibly sustain a drop onto a floor.
