3D printed padlock

3D printed padlock

thingiverse

This is a DIY 3D padlock project I've put together. Most components are 3D printed, but some metal parts are required as well. The padlock actually works quite well. However, some parts can be tricky to print, like the small ball bearings. Scale up one ball slightly so you have one that's 5mm and another that's 5.5mm in size; the larger one goes on the shackle side. The key is uncut, allowing you to modify it with a file or keycutter for your specific pinning needs. You'll also need the following additional parts: five keypins, five drivers, one long standard driver as a core holding pin, six padlock springs, six M4x3 grub screws, and one pen spring for the shackle. I've included an image that shows all the components at once.
