3D Printed One Wood Derby Racer #3DPWD

This is a fundamental design for a 3D Printed Pine Wood Derby Racer. The basic design has been based on my own hand-carved Pine Wood Derby car from a block of wood when I was a Cub Scout. At the upcoming East Coast RepRap Festival, we will host a 3D Printed Pine Wood Derby race! We will adhere to all Boy Scouts of America rules, except that we will 3D print the bodies of the cars! More details will come on the when and where of the race and #ERRF2018, but for now, I wanted to share an example of a 3D Printed Pine Wood Derby car to get your creative and competitive juices flowing. As far as getting your completed car as close to but not exceeding the 5-ounce limit, you will have to experiment with perimeters and infill percentages to achieve the right mix for the ideal weight. Good luck! #ERRF2018 3DPWD Car Rules All parts must be 3D-printed except the car axles and wheels. Wheels & axles will be official BSA standard issue from Revell.
