It's Diwali time now in India! Time for treats, snacks, and unbridled joy!! In Tamilnadu, there's a traditional snack called Murukku (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murukku) that many households in south India eagerly prepare for the occasion. However, we've recently lost our trusty Murukku plate to our hand-press machine - a wooden mold - and thought it was time to whip up a simple replacement. So I designed and quickly printed a 46mm diameter, 2mm thick plate with a neat 5mm triangular hole at its center using my P3Steel 3D printer in mere minutes! With the newly created plate fitted into our hand-press machine, we effortlessly produced a massive tin of crunchy, hot murukku for Diwali. Feeling inspired to share this DIY triumph, I'll provide step-by-step instructions on how to make your very own Murukku press. It's a breeze - just 3D print this custom plate, slot it into your wooden mold, squeeze the dough through the central hole into scorching hot oil, and voila! Delicious homemade murukku in minutes! Why splurge on an expensive, full hand-press setup when you can create one plate quickly?
