3D Printed Miniature Glider - Balsa Glider Style!!!
pinshape
Awesome miniature 3D printed gliders that evoke the nostalgia of balsa wood models many of us loved as kids. They print and assemble lightning-fast, making them a blast to fly. These gliders perform amazingly well, and when you catch just the right headwind, they can stay airborne for incredibly long periods and cover vast distances. Check out our video on how to make them: https://youtu.be/uy2kXmUjdzQ We will also post more details on our website as soon as possible: https://www.3d-flight.com/ Important: We used a .2mm nozzle, and the wing and fuselage were designed with a single outer layer to minimize weight and reduce wing loading. Although the glider may crack or break, it's easy to fix by gluing it back together quickly. To assemble them, simply use some super glue and accelerator (optional). For added weight, we recommend attaching a 2g fishing weight to the front. Our print settings include: Nozzle: .2mm Extrusion Width: .2mm Layer Height: .150mm Nozzle Temperature: 215 c To optimize printing time, use these settings for wing and fuselage parts: 1 layer outer perimeter (essential for weight) 0% infill No top or bottom layers For horizontal and vertical tail parts: 3 top and bottom layers 20% infill
