Be aware that this mask design does not replace standard protective equipment such as N-95 masks or surgical masks when available. Use of these 3D printed masks has not been fully tested and approved by federal or state authorities. John Erickson assumes no liability and makes no representations, warranties, or guarantees regarding the safety, efficacy, or appropriate use of these masks in any situation. Each facility should test each batch of masks before relying on them for protection. Use of this information is at the maker's and user's own risk. This is not affiliated with or approved by the Atlantic Health System. The mask shape comes from the Billings clinic in Montana (https://www.makethemasks.com/). I modified and changed the valve from the Copper 3D nanohack version 1.0 (no longer published there https://copper3d.com/hackthepandemic/#About_NanoHack). This is intended as a last resort if you do not have appropriate PPE available at your institution. It has not been FDA studied or approved for use in any setting. I have used it in a fit test at my hospital and it was functional with a good seal to my face.
