3D Printed LED Flashlight
pinshape
I designed and printed a 3D flashlight that's easy to create with minimal support material required. The print has two options: printing in three parts and assembling with screws or printing as one piece. Printing as one piece allows for more space for wires, making it a recommended option. If anyone prints this design, I'd love to see the result. YouTube video showing my design process, printing, and assembly can be found here: https://youtu.be/ghMt4RsVrP8 To assemble the electronics, you'll need: * Wire: http://www.adafruit.com/products/1970 * Rocker Switch: http://www.adafruit.com/products/1970 * Potentiometers (x3): http://www.adafruit.com/products/1970 (don't forget to add knob toppers) * RGB LEDs (diffused): http://www.adafruit.com/products/1970 or RGB LEDs (clear): http://www.adafruit.com/products/1970 * Round Protoboard: http://www.adafruit.com/products/1970 Print Settings: * Resolution: 300 Microns * Infill: 30% I tested the 3D printed flashlight using the three-part option with PLA and a heated bed on my Robo 3D printer. I designed this project using Tinkercad by taking measurements of the components I wanted to include, such as potentiometers and LEDs, using a small caliper. The design process is shown in the linked video. If you have any questions, post them in the comments and I'll do my best to answer.
