3D Printed & Laser Cut, Lil-CNC Mill ACv2

This tiny powerhouse can etch almost any material, including stripping copper off PCBs. It also cuts, drills, and mills soft materials with ease. Although it's not lightning-fast, its compact size and affordable price make it an incredible value. To boost its capabilities, simply upgrade the spindle motor, add side stiffeners, and swap out the all-thread for precision acme rods. The design is highly scalable without requiring new prints; you'll only need to re-cut laser-cut parts and adjust the rod length. Premium quality printed kits are now available for purchase on eBay: Cherry Red: http://www.ebay.com/itm/252043471429 Navy Blue: http://www.ebay.com/itm/252052107810 Black: http://www.ebay.com/itm/252052101200 Neon Green: http://www.ebay.com/itm/252029615065 Watch the mill etch a "Hello World" logo into acrylic: The square border around the Hello World Open Hardware logo is 40x40mm, making it an ideal first etching image for X and Y movement calibration. The text reaches its tallest point at ~4mm tall. A 25-degree, 0.3mm flat tip engraving bit was used. This revised design is fully compatible with the original laser-cut frame from the instructable, although a few small M3 hardware bits have changed in count and length.
