3D Printed Jart (aka Lawn Dart)
thingiverse
Back in the '80s, an outdoor game called Jarts was popular. The objective was to throw an oversized dart into a plastic ring situated at a certain distance away. Despite its entertainment value, this game posed safety concerns, leading to its ban in the US in 1988. However, you can now print your own Jarts using a 3D printer and some materials. Print a Jart body from an STL file, clean it up with an Exacto knife, and measure a 10-24 x 36" threaded rod to the desired length. Attach nylon lock nuts, a cap nut, and #10 flat washers as per the instructions, ensuring proper tightness for a spinning motion. Add 20 fender washers as weights before securing the final nylon lock nut. With caution, test your Jart outdoors away from people and pets to relive the vintage game safely. Remember, create four more for a complete set!
