3D printed iridology jig (university internship)
grabcad
In May 2017, I undertook a three-month internship at a German university where I developed software and hardware to automate iridology analysis. The hardware component was designed as an affordable jig to precisely aim a camera at an eye. Although the face holding and lighting aspects were not yet made, the prototype demonstrated success in the aiming part. You can view a video of the software feature in action here: https://vid.me/DYKFbtw. The footage is a close-up shot of my iris using a low-cost 480p webcam and a lens from an old microscope.
