Some years ago, running began causing me a lot of pain - after visiting doctors and orthopedics, they discovered that overpronation was to blame, especially with my left foot. So, after investing a significant amount of money, I had custom insoles made by my orthopedic doctor, and these greatly alleviated the issue. However, like any other product, these insoles eventually wear out - which led me to come up with the idea of making them myself. The key factor here is flexibility - these are crafted from NinjaFlex material. The attached STL files have a 4% pronation degree built into them - you can adjust this to your liking by modifying the original Onshape design, which can be found on my blog at http://diygarageprojects.blogspot.no/2017/03/3d-printing-overpronation-insoles.html. My initial insoles cost me a total of around 300USD. In contrast, these custom-made insoles only set me back between 1-2 USD. Although they may not be perfect yet, I'm thrilled about the prospect of creating my own insoles at home.
