3D Printed Hydrogen Fuel Cell
thingiverse
Hello again! This time I've got a Hydrogen Fuel Cell printed up. Also known as an HHO Generator, Brown Gas Generator and On Demand Hydrogen Fuel Cell. You can buy Stainless Steel parts at your local Home Depot or Lowes or ACE Hardware stores - the total cost for all stainless steel parts is less than $40 bucks. The fuel economy jumps from 20% to 50% depending on your solution in the canister. This version uses only 3.25 amps at 14.2 volts, but gives me a fuel increase from 15 MPG to 25 MPG in my 1985 Ford Econoline's 5.8 liter V8 engine. Make sure to print the lid at .96 or .97 size inside Repetier-Host Software - if you don't print it smaller than the canister and lid, they won't fit correctly. The only extra item needed is either Cork to seal the lid to the canister or a thin film of silicone to seal the canister. As of 1/22/2018, this printed cell works great! My van's original MPG was 12-18, but now with this cell, my fuel economy has jumped up to 18-20 MPG.
