3D Printed High Load Linear Actuator

You can purchase linear actuators from a retailer, but none offer accurate displacement measurement and high load rating at this price point. The completed model on display is capable of pushing or pulling up to 300 pounds while moving at about 0.5 inches per minute. I utilized it for a specific project, but you can apply it to any endeavor you desire! This assembly serves as a component of the Testrbot open source universal test machine: http://www.instructables.com/id/Testrbot-Universal-Test-Machine/. Additionally, I have provided 'Base Type 2' files if you wish to create a higher speed configuration. (In this setup, you would not need the gears, as depicted in photo 3.)
