You can purchase linear actuators off the shelf, but none that allow for precise displacement measurement and high load capacity at this price point. The completed model shown is capable of pushing or pulling up to 300 pounds while moving at a rate of approximately 0.5 inches per minute. I employed it on a unique project, but you can utilize it for any application you desire!
