3D Printed Headphones
thingiverse
These headphones can be printed with a layer height of 0.1mm-0.2mm, print speeds and other settings are up to the user depending on their printer. I am using the new M3D Tough filament for the headband but any flexible filament will work well. The cups, firewalls and driver mounts need to be printed in a very rigid material to keep flexibility to a minimum. To go over the firewall, you will need to purchase some ear pads: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B011BIIO9I?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_4&smid=ASSRQ4UOFXJQ4You will need to use superglue to stick the plain side of the driver mount to the spacers on the firewall after you have put the ear pads on. You will also need 40mm speaker drivers such as: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Inside-Magnet-Electronic-Speaker-Trumpet/dp/B00UJ98EX2/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1454536611&sr=1-2&keywords=40mm+speakerAnd a 3.5mm headphone jack such as: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/9792341056?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_1&smid=A1LK9W1NQLJGM1Finally, some really thin wire is needed to connect everything together. Soldering will be involved, however.
