3D Printed Glasses with Replaceable Hinges
thingiverse
I designed a customized version of this model to fit my lenses, which had a unique shape and were slightly thicker than those used in the original design. Additionally, I encountered problems with the hinges breaking due to the printing process, as they would easily crack under stress when dropped because the z-axis was the weakest point and the small hinges took excessive pressure. To resolve this issue, I created replaceable hinges that can be printed with the z-axis oriented in the opposite direction, making them significantly stronger and allowing for easy replacement if one breaks.
