3D printed focuser to replace my original focuser on a MEAD LXD55. I kept the original focuser inner tube with rack and pinion drive. With this focuser the tube rolls on four 5x11x4 mm bearings. The focusing shaft rides in two 608RS bearings (8x22x7mm) and the whole shaft is slightly pressed to the tube rack with spring tension minimizing backlash using spring washers. The whole design is made in FreeCAD and several of the dimensions is parameterized by the spreadsheet.
